WWE star and brand new WWE Speed Champion Ricochet has thanked Triple H for “believing in him from the start.”
On the May 3 edition of Speed on Twitter/X, Ricochet defeated Johnny Gargano to win the WWE Speed Championship in the tournament finals.
Following his victory, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque congratulated Ricochet for his historic title win.
Quote tweeting Triple H’s post, Ricochet took to social media to thank “The Game” for always believing in him. He wrote:
Big shout out to the guy who’s believed in me from the start.
One King to another. Thank you for everything.
Triple H was in charge of WWE NXT when Ricochet arrived in the company, with the Highlight of the Night winning the NXT North American Championship on the brand.
Following this Ricochet would go on to capture both the United States and Intercontinental Championships across Raw and SmackDown.
As previously reported, the company announced a #1 contender tournament to determine Ricochet’s first challenger for the WWE Speed Championship.
