WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley admits he’s interested in working in Triple H‘s WWE.
On January 25th, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon that contained horrifying allegations of grooming, abuse, and sex trafficking. The suit is seeking to void a previous NDA and seeks financial damages of an unspecified amount. On January 26th, Vince McMahon resigned from all duties with TKO and WWE while continuing to deny the allegations against him.
McMahon’s resignation leaves his son-in-law and Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque firmly in charge of WWE, and according to Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley, Levesque’s leadership makes it tempting to return to the sports entertainment giant. During a recent interview with WhatCulture, Dudley had this to say:
“Yes, but I haven’t done the Triple H era. I’ve been through the Vince era, but I would love to get a crack at…maybe even possibly doing the Triple H era, so to speak. You never know. I had fun when I was there, even during the Vince era. At times, it was extremely stressful, but we got through it and did what we had to do. But I never just got a chance to feel that new era.”
When asked if he’d want to return to WWE, Dudley said:
“It’s an opportunity that, if it presents itself, so be it. I’m not gonna sit here and not listen and make a business decision. There is no beef on my part with WWE. I went on Twitter and I announced that, this and that. I had fun with everybody that I worked with, whether it was in the ring or outside the ring, had no issues with management or anything. It was just time to part ways and we did.”
The Hall of Famer worked as a producer in WWE and NXT for years before exiting the company in January of 2023. Dudley is still currently under a Legends contract, having re-signed in September of 2023.
Triple H’s Leadership Highly Praised
D-Von’s longtime tag team partner Bully Ray recently praised Triple H after taking part in the WWE Draft, saying a “black cloud” was gone from the company after Vince McMahon’s exit. Corey Graves also praised Triple H recently, calling it “refreshing” to be given space when it comes to performance.
Meanwhile, The Undertaker also commented on the shift in WWE since Levesque took official control.
