Wrestling veteran drops bombshell regarding major WWE reunion: “Triple H said no”

For the most part, WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H, has done the right things since taking over. There is a reason he is receiving praise for reviving a product that seemed a bit stale and almost irrelevant for several years. He takes his time with the storylines and values the performers and the audiences by taking a slow-burn approach toward the angles and characters.

One can safely say that former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley’s best run in terms of character development happened during his time as the leader of a dominant faction dubbed, The Hurt Business. Many fans wanted to see the foursome reunite in some form or fashion but it just did not happen.

MVP disclosed on Instagram to the many comments made by the fans regarding the former faction that the ultimate call was the Chief Content Officer’s, and that was that. He even claimed that The Game had the opportunity to fix what Vince McMahon had messed up, but claimed that “Triple H said no.”

The Hurt Business can no longer reunite in its original form as Shelton Benjamin was released by WWE in September 2023. The All Mighty is presently running a faction on SmackDown dubbed The Pride. It consists of the Street Profits and B-Fab. Lashley has been out of action for a few weeks because of an injury sustained while training for the King of the Ring Tournament.

Bobby Lashley was disappointed with how WWE handled The Hurt Business
During an interview with WrestlingNewsCo in December 2023, Bobby Lashley briefly discussed The Hurt Business, among other disappointments in his run with the Stamford-based promotion since 2018.

When the host Steve Fall stated that it did not make sense at the time and even today that WWE would prematurely disband The All Mighty’s former faction, he used a few words to articulate his true feelings:

3 reasons why WWE's Bobby Lashley needs The Hurt Business and 2 he doesn't

“We had to die to make other groups strong,” stated Lashley.
This was speculated as a subtle jab at The Bloodline. The Hurt Business was already riding high on a wave of momentum between 2020 and early 2021, but then Roman Reigns and clan took over shortly after Jimmy Uso returned to the ring later that year.

Since The All Mighty’s absence on SmackDown, the Street Profits got entangled in the new Bloodline’s business, joining Kevin Owens to take down Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa.
