Triple H should fire 32-year-old WWE Superstar on live TV, says veteran

Wrestling veteran Konnan jokingly suggested that WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H should fire Wendy Choo on live television.

A few months after competing in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament, Choo signed a developmental contract with WWE. She has since joined the NXT roster. Over the past few years, the 32-year-old adopted multiple characters. She currently plays a sleepy gimmick and wrestles in her pajamas.

On the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan discussed Choo’s future at the Stamford-based company. While his co-host, Disco Inferno, claimed it was “ridiculous to book a character that is always falling asleep,” the WCW legend jokingly suggested that Triple H fire her through a note on live TV while she is asleep.

“Well, for this girl Wendy Choo, what I would do for this gimmick is that she’s always sleeping, I would have Hunter come by and put a piece of paper here and when he leaves, they put a close-up and it’s ‘When you wake up, you’re fired [laughs],'” he said.

Wendy Choo will reportedly return to WWE TV soon
The 32-year-old NXT star has been out of action for nearly a year with a legitimate undisclosed injury. However, the WWE Universe might see Wendy Choo return to action soon.

According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Choo was at the Performance Center with sources hopeful that she would return to in-ring competition soon. In her last match before going on hiatus, she teamed up with Kelani Jordan to defeat Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice in a tag team match on NXT Level Up.

Despite being in NXT for nearly five years, Choo has never held gold. In May 2022, she teamed up with Roxanne Perez to challenge Toxic Attraction for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles but came up short. She also failed to dethrone then-NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose about a month later.

It would be interesting to see if she could capture her first title upon her comeback.
