Rey Mysterio hopes he’ll wrestle in a WWE premium live event in Mexico soon. Speaking to Bleacher Report, Mysterio said Mexico WWE fans deserve a PLE.

“I’m hoping that it happens within the next three years. I think my people deserve something as good as a PLE,” said Mysterio.

“We have a huge stadium over there, Estadio Azteca, which I believe is being remodeled and should be done sometime next year. I think the fans would go crazy. Crazy. Mexico has always been an incredible crowd for wrestling, and what better than to pay it off with WWE coming over there and giving them something as special as a PLE?” he added.

WWE is planning a couple of house shows in Mexico this July, and Mysterio is advertised for these events.

WWE is increasing the number of PLEs they are holding in international markets. They’ve already had PLEs in Australia and France this year and have upcoming events in Scotland, Canada, and Germany.

They are also continuing with their deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to have two PLEs in Saudi every year.
