Marc Jacobs invites close friends to gather at the New York Public Library to welcome the Fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection.

In a departure from the traditional fashion week schedule, Marc Jacobs unveiled the Fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection at the New York Public Library on July 1 (Vietnam time).

Prior to the event, the brand’s official social media account posted with the caption: “Marc and friends. The Marc Jacobs Fall 2024 show is happening tonight,” accompanied by images of the designer and A-list stars like Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Beyoncé, and Madonna, hinting at the notable guests expected to witness the new collection.

However, these stars were actually… absent from the front row when the show started! This humorous twist is characteristic of Marc Jacobs, who often delights in surprising the fashion world, keeping them curious.

Among the limited but influential front row guests, Cardi B stood out the most. Despite her busy schedule with new music projects, she made time to follow Marc Jacobs’ collections closely. The American brand remains her top choice whenever she needs to showcase bold outfits in music videos. She is also a loyal customer of Marc Jacobs beauty products, using them for major events like the Met Gala, where her 2018 red carpet look was completed with foundation and shimmer from the brand.

At the show, Cardi B wore a design from Marc Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2020 ready-to-wear collection. Organza silk was utilized to create extravagant, oversized flower petals in shades of gold, white, purple, and gray, giving the rapper the appearance of being enveloped in a flower cocoon. The effect of blossoming flowers was enhanced with ostrich feather trimmings.

Complementing her dress, she wore long stockings and beige acetate sunglasses. Not to be missed were the key accessories loved by Marc Jacobs enthusiasts: the signature Kiki shoes with platform heels and straps.

Cardi B’s makeup had a retro vibe, with a bun hairstyle and bangs reminiscent of 1940s pin-up girls. Her nails, as always, made a striking statement: long, thick, and glamorous.
