Triple H is among the many names who have acknowledged Jessika Carr’s achievement at WWE Backlash in France.
Refereeing Cody Rhodes’ defence of the Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles, Carr became the first female official to referee a WWE title match in the main event of a Premium Live Event. Carr has also been the first female to officiate a Hell in a Cell match and a match in Saudi Arabia.
Taking to social media, Triple H said the following about Carr’s involvement at the PLE:
Jessika Carr has been smashing through glass ceilings since she joined @WWE, and last night was no different. At #WWEBacklash France, @WWELadyRefJess became the first female official to ever referee a #WWETitle PLE main event match.
Responding to Triple H’s comment, Carr expressed her gratitude for being trusted with the main event and that she wants to make more history in professional wrestling:
There are no words to express my pride, appreciation, and gratitude. To be trusted with something of this magnitude is so special. Thank you and I want to continue to grow, improve, and crush more glass ceilings.
