Camila Cabello Details New Album ‘C, XOXO’

Camila Cabello is entering her Gossip Girl era. On Monday, the singer unveiled the title of her upcoming fourth studio album: C, XOXO. The record will arrive on June 28 featuring the previously released single “I Luv It,” her collaboration with Playboi Carti.

Cabello also revealed the cover art for C, XOXO. The artwork features her licking a bright blue lollipop with bleach blonde hair framing her face. The singer teased the album title on Sunday evening while attending the F1 Grand Prix in Miami, captioning a thread of photos with: “fast cars are so c,xoxo.”

“It’s really sitting in the discomfort of things and realizing there’s not gonna be a neat, in-a-box answer,” Cabello recently explained about her approach to the album during an appearance on Call Her Daddy. “I feel strong in these ways, weak in these ways, and there’s no real clear answer here.”

She added: “But the album process has been such a journey. It started out with me having that intention of going back to how it started for me, which was just sitting with myself and really getting back to that first passion of songwriting. Nerding out over references and artists and poetry — whatever — and really tapping into that.”

Cabello’s most recent album, Familia, arrived in April 2022. Where that album focused on complex heartbreak, C, XOXO will shake up perceptions of the singer. “I’m always scheming but I won’t say too much about it because I love a calculated surprise,” she told Rolling Stone in November 2023, adding: “It always has to be about challenging myself and doing something new. So really consuming a lot of new art and a lot of new references. A lot of new music, new movies, new novels, new photography. To me, what produces different output is having new input. That’s what’s inspired me.”
