The moment Adele ‘twerks’ while suffering a wardrobe gaffe in the pouring rain on stage in Munich – as her fiancé Rich Paul declares ‘the show must go on!’

Adele left concert goers thrilled on Wednesday evening as she twerked on stage while struggling with a wardrobe gaffe in the rain amid her run of Munich shows.

The singer, 36, no doubt had second thoughts about hosting her gigs in the purpose-built, 80,000-seat outdoor arena as the heavens opened in the German city, leaving herself, fans and the stage soaked.

In a bid to maintain her safety, the Hello hitmaker swapped her heels for a pair of white trainers, however, she suffered a wardrobe failure as her laces came undone – with the star pausing proceedings to do them up.

But while she bent over to attend to her shoes, cheeky Adele couldn’t resist shaking her bottom in the air in a video shared to X, with the mini twerk leaving fans delighted as they let out a cheer.

Meanwhile, seemingly referring to the torrential rain or perhaps his love’s trainer issue, Adele’s fiancé Rich Paul, 42, took to X to declare: ‘The show must go on!’

The moment came a week after the Set Fire To The Rain artist finally confirmed her engagement to her love Rich (pictured last week)

The twerking moment came as the star chatted to her fans about being afraid of big crowd – them excluded – as she walked about the rain-sodden stage.

As the camera panned to her chunky white trainers, she told the camera man off for zooming in, clearly not wanting to draw attention to her less than glamorous footwear before then realising it was probably a warning about her laces.

Passing the time, the Adele had a quick dance as she tied her shoe, before continuing with the show.

The moment came a week after the Set Fire To The Rain artist finally confirmed her engagement to her love Rich.

On Friday Adele told fans she was ‘getting married’ and flashed her diamond ring while addressing the audience at the arena.

Adele and the Klutch Sports Group founder who have been dating since 2021, secretly got engaged last month after he proposed in her hometown, Tottenham in North London.

Reading out a sign in the audience which read ‘will you marry me?,’ Adele responded: ‘I can’t marry you because I’m already getting married!’

She performed the first of her ten dates in Munich last weekend as an incredible 75,000 fans attended in the purpose built stadium for the star.

Recently, Adele cryptically hinted at her reported engagement to fiancé Rich as she kicked off her long-awaited residency in Munich.

The Hello songstress made a comment about her ‘personal life’ as she told the crowd: ‘What’s going on in my personal life? Nothing because I’ve been getting ready for this.’

Despite months of rumours Adele and Rich were already married, it was claimed that the couple have in fact just got engaged.

Reports emerged that basketball agent Rich quietly popped the question during a trip to Tottenham, London, The Sun claims.

The location was said to be no coincidence, with Rich wanting to make his love known in Adele’s hometown, amid claims she is preparing to move back to the UK.

The couple were previously rumoured to have tied the knot last year and reportedly confirmed the union at her best friend Alan Carr’s comedy show in Los Angeles, with two audience members confirming the news to Deuxmoi.

An onlooker explained: ‘I was at Alan Carr’s comedy show in LA tonight and Adele was in the audience. Alan asked the crowd if anyone got married recently and Adele shouted ‘I did’.’

Another audience member added of the ‘small and intimate show: ‘When he asked if anyone got married recently she yelled ‘I did’. Super cute all around and was super sweet but dipped right before it ended.’
