Nigerian singer and songwriter Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, better known as Fireboy DML, has stirred excitement among many of his fans and lovers with his major announcement.
Fireboy DML was recently interviewed on Billboard News, where he disclosed he would drop a new album this year, making it his fourth since joining Olamide’s YBNL label in 2018.
So far, the youngster has three albums titled Playboy, released in 2022; Apollo, released in 2020; and Love, Tears and Goosebumps LTG, released in 2019.
During the interview, the YBNL act revealed he would also kick-start his acting career this year.
He said:”I am also going into the movie industry, I am going into acting.”

Recall that Nigerian singer Wizkid made headlines last year after announcing he would be venturing into the movie industry.
Fireboy DML speaks on deal with YBNL
The Peru singer, who recently shared his reaction after making his first million, opened up on how he rejected many contract offers before eventually signing for Olamide’s YBNL.
Although he refused to mention the names of labels that approached him, Fireboy DML said he felt joining YBNL was the right move for him.

Man sends message to Fireboy DML
Legit.ng recall reporting that a Nigerian man called the attention Fireboy to their good old days while still in poverty.
The man, identified as Bank Alat, shared a throwback of himself and the musician to honour his special day.
Bank revealed that he had been friends with the Peru crooner right from when he had nothing, and they drank garri together on several occasions.
Iyana Ipaja, Lagos state – Several passengers sustained injuries in a late-night collision between two Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses at Iyana Ipaja in Lagos on Tuesday, August 27.
The accident occurred within the BRT lane on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, near Danco Filling Station.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority reported that the injured passengers were promptly taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Thankfully, no fatalities were recorded, The Punch reported.
Nosa Okunbor, head of the public affairs unit of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, stated that investigations revealed the accident happened when one BRT bus swerved to avoid hitting a commercial motorcyclist who was illegally using the BRT corridor, leading to a collision with another BRT bus.
Okunbor added that passengers from both buses sustained varying degrees of injuries and were already en route to the hospital before the emergency response team arrived, The Gurdian reported.
He said:“However, passengers of both buses reportedly suffered various degrees of injuries and were all taken to the nearest hospital before the arrival of the Agency’s Response Team.”
He added that two tow trucks were deployed to remove the damaged buses from the road, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic.
28 people reportedly die in Lagos-Ibadan expressway crashes
In another report, Legit.ng reported that two tragic accidents occurred at the Lagos/Ibadan expressway that resulted in the deaths of 28 people and left many others injured.
The crashes took place on Tuesday, August 13, at two locations: Ajao, opposite the Bovas fuel station on the Ojoo/Iwo road, and Malo, both on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
The incident at Ajao claimed 16 lives, while the Malo crash resulted in 12 deaths.
