Is Belinda’s ‘Beli-bélica’ era over? On July 23, the Spanish-Mexican pop star revealed she’s dropping an upcoming pop collaboration with Mexican pop star Kenia Os – and fans can’t wait to hear it.
Two Mexican pop starlets are getting together for what could be the pop collaboration of the year. Belinda posted an Instagram carousel with the caption: “Se viene un PoPcito muy girly [A very girly PoPcito is on the way],” with lollipop, slot machine, candy, cloud, and champagne emojis. Kenia replied, “urgeeeee 💞💞 eres lo massssssssssssss!!!!! Belibeliiii 💞💞💞 .” The photos show both artists in the studio booth recording music together.
Moreover, on Kenia’s Instagram stories posted last night (July 22), video snips show the duo dancing and vibing to the song, plus another video with the words: “la bomba q les tenemoss [what a bomb we have for you].”
Social media users are excited for what’s to come. An Instagram user, spaace_maan, wrote: “MOTHERS ARE COMING TO SAVE THE MEXICAN POP 🫦.” Another Instagram user, lamasplutona, echoed the same sentiment: “THE QUEENS OF POP.”
Other fans are asking about the track’s release date. An Instagram user, belindadailyarg, wrote: “Give us more information Princess! When are we going to be able to listen to this Popcitooo???? 👀.” Though there’s no official audio snippet, track name, or release date, fans are speculating the release date to be Aug. 15, based on an Instagram comment by Beli. Could this new collaboration be the complete track that the “Cactus” singer teased in June?
This new song comes after Belinda released her corrido coquette “300 Noches” with Natanael Cano and the recent joint track “Llórame Un Río” with Enrique Iglesias. Kenia, on the other hand, recently released a sexy reggaeton track with Peso Pluma, “TOMMY & PAMELA.” Last weekend, Kenia and La Doble P performed the track for the first time live during his tour stop in Dallas, TX (July 20).
