Candace Owens Roasts Eminem in Response to Disses on New Album: ‘He’s So Desperate to Show Black People That He’s Real’

Candace Owens shared some choice words for Eminem after he name dropped her on his new album.

The 51-year-old rapper’s latest effort, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), arrived on Friday and has ruffled some feathers after dissing the conservative pundit on two separate tracks.

On “Lucifer,” Em takes aim at 35-year-old Owens by calling her a “tramp” and referring to her right-wing affiliations with former President Donald Trump’s “MAGA” movement and Kanye West’s “White Lives Matter” apparel, as seen during the rapper’s 2022 YZY Season 9 show in Paris.

Per Genius, the lyrics are as follows:

Candace Owens speaks at a podium wearing a yellow blazer; Eminem is on stage in a hoodie and baseball cap

And Candace O, I ain’t mad at her (Ah)
I ain’t gon’ throw the fact bitch forgot she was Black back at her
Laugh at her like them crackers she’s backin’ after her back is turned
In a cute MAGA hat with her brand-new White Lives Matter shirt (Haha, nope) Or say this MAGA dirtbag in a skirt
Just opened the biggest can of worms on the whole planet Earth
Call her “Grand Wizard” (Yeah), “Klandace” (Haha), or “Grand Dragon,” or
Like the national anthem, I won’t stand for the tramp (Why?)
But I can’t diss her ’cause my plans are to get in her pants and I’ll blow my chance if I answer back to her

In a separate track titled “Bad One,” Eminem accuses Owens of turning her back on her own race.

Yeah, this whole sub-genre with all these corny white rappers, I’m not a fan of it
It ain’t my fault, but like sock puppets, I had a hand in it
This thousand bucks in my hand is just like what Candace did
When she turned her back on her own race ’cause I have abandoned it

Owens responded to the new tracks on Friday during her YouTube show Candance Live, accusing the Detroit rapper of attempting to pander to Black audiences and calling him a “struggling internally gay man.”

“First thing I want to say is Eminem is obviously a gay man,” said Owens at the 4:09 mark here. “It’s very sad that Eminem cleaned out his closet but never came out of his closet.”

“He’s actually recycling things that Black women have said about me on the internet. He’s pretending this is original [by] calling me ‘Klandis,’ it’s not,” she continued. “You’re the one that’s actually cosplaying a race that you aren’t. You’re desperate for Black Americans to pick up your tracks because you abandoned the audience of a lot of people who were listening to your music.”

Later on, Owens argues that Eminem’s use of the word “cracker” is hypocritical and makes it seem like he “dunked” on middle class white people that enjoyed his music, before calling him an “out of touch elitist.”

“This is just not the way for someone’s career to go down the drain and I want us all to do our part to help make Eminem relevant again, at the very least. And he can be relevant just by me speaking about him,” she said.

While speaking to TMZ Live, Candace doubled down by saying the rapper has “cemented himself as a lame person.”

“I’m calling this now is like Hillary Clinton ‘hot sauce moment,'” said Owens, referencing the time the former presidential candidate told The Breakfast Club that she carries hot sauce in her purse, a nod to Beyoncé’s song “Formation,” in an appeal to Black voters.

“He’s just so desperate to show Black people that he’s real, that he’s basically got some producer going through Instagram and trying to figure out what it is that he thinks black people like or don’t like,” Owens continued. “He’s just aged out. It’s just time for Eminem to hang it up.”

The pundit says that she would’ve been flattered by the mention back in her college days when she listened to his music during his prime.

“This just feels sad, and fake, and gay, to be honest,” Owens said. “His daughter’s beautiful. She just got married. I think he just needs to go ahead and be a grandpa.”
