Triple H planning an upset on WWE SmackDown tonight? Exploring potential swerve

Since Triple H has taken over as WWE’s Chief Content Officer and Creative Head, the promotion has seen a lot of growth with regards to their product. Week after week, The Game and his team deliver great episodes of RAW and SmackDown which are filled with action, surprises, and upsets.

Similarly, on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown, Triple H could book yet another upset. The upset in question is Santos Escobar winning on the blue brand. In the upcoming episode of SmackDown, Escobar will face LA Knight and Logan Paul in a triple-threat match to qualify for Money in the Bank.

Since Escobar is a heel and an opportunist, he could use the rivalry between Logan and Knight to his advantage. Also, by booking the Mexican wrestler to win this qualifying match, Triple H will be able to intensify the rivalry between Logan and Knight heading into Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.

Hence, on the upcoming episode of SmackDown, it won’t be surprising to see Escobar’s hand raised when the match is over. If Escobar does end up qualifying for Money in the Bank, it will be interesting to see if he can win it since he was unsuccessful last year.

Triple H is WWE

WWE Hall of Famer wants Triple H to book 45-year-old star as World Heavyweight Champion
On Monday Night RAW, the World Heavyweight Championship is currently with Damian Priest. In his reign until now, Damian has done a good job and has also defended his title on two occasions. However, a WWE Hall of Famer wants to see a new World Heavyweight Champion.

During an episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray mentioned if he was Triple H, he would be booking CM Punk in some of the most high-profile matches. Ray also added that if Punk is injury-free, he would like to see him being the one to hold the World Heavyweight Championship:

Triple H Returns To RAW

“If I’m Triple H, I’m booking Punk in the most high-profile matches I possibly can right now. [If he] comes out of it injury-free, I book him to the next level. Could CM Punk carry the WWE World Heavyweight Championship? Absolutely,no doubt in my mind.”

In his last appearance on WWE programming, CM Punk was brutally attacked by Drew McIntyre on SmackDown. Hence, once Punk settles his score with The Scotsman, it would be interesting to see him go and pursue the World Heavyweight Championship.
